The idea and subsequent implementation of environmentally friendly portable washroom facilities was conceived by Les Johnson. Changing times and environmental consciousness in the work force has brought a need to move away from employing the old port-a-potty to meet nature's needs.
Les has worked in the old generation oil and gas industry with smelly port-a-potty's on skids that were either too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter and terribly unsanitary. Les had an experience in Grande Prairie that changed the way he wanted his employees to be treated while away from home.
Les took the steps necessary by designing, constructing and implementing a portable washroom facility to meet the needs of the new generation that works in the field. By providing this portable washroom facility where company employees can now sit in a clean and secure environment away from the bugs and bears, wash their hands and face with hot and cold water, brush their teeth just as they would at home. The health and safety of company employees is a paramount concern.
But he also wanted to ensure the portable washroom was low maintenance and environmentally friendly so the following benefits were incorporated into the On-Site Trailer.
But it doesn't stop there.
Looking at how garbage was handled at the sites where he worked, Les has incorporated recycling and garbage handling into the same portable On-Site Trailer. Why not kill two flies with one swat.
Then there is the problem with power on the site or if the crews were working 24/7. The companies had locate suppliers to bring in light stands and power generators thus having to deal with a number of suppliers to ensure the equipment was rented and delivered on time. So Les wanted to streamline this process for the companies by providing a one ticket service provider through incorporating the washroom facility, the garbage and recycling, generator and light tower to meet the needs of the employees and company all in one portable On-Site Trailer. Les knew that if the employees were happy with their working conditions the employee performance was greater. So this was a win win situation for the company and the employees.
